MEXICO CITY, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Ecuadorian winger Angel Mena scored two late goals as Leon clinched a 3-2 home win over Atlas in the first leg of the Liga MX Apertura final on Thursday.
Luis Reyes put the visitors ahead with an 11th-minute strike before Victor Davila equalized with a left-footed shot after Jean Meneses' headed pass.
Argentine striker Julio Furch restored Atlas' lead with a cool finish just after the hour mark before Mena put the hosts back on level terms by slotting a low effort past goalkeeper Camilo Vargas in the 78th minute.
Mena prompted jubilant celebrations from the home fans when he converted an 86th-minute penalty after Aldo Rocha brought down Victor Davila.
The decisive second leg will be played at Atlas' Jalisco stadium in Guadalajara on Sunday. Enditem
