Located in Shanghai’s Qingpu district, the ruins of what was once the ancient town of Qinglong date back to the Tang dynasty (618-907). The town gradually evolved into the area’s earliest trading port due to its advantageous location on the Yangtze River. Over the past decade, the Shanghai Museum has conducted an extensive excavation of Qinglong to learn more about its layout and cultural significance. Watch the video for more.
