Dubbed "China’s last hunting ethnic minority," the Oroqen is one of the smallest ethnic groups in China. Most Oroqen inhabit Heilongjiang Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The word "Oroqen" has two meanings in their own language: "reindeer" and "people living on mountains." They practice shamanism and worship nature.
The Oroqen people live a nomadic life, hunting in the forests. They wear unique costumes decorated with patterns of bows, scissors, horns, and clouds.
