For the first time in three years, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is holding meetings physically. Leaders and representatives from the Asia-Pacific region are congregating in Bangkok to discuss how to boost the region’s economic integration and address pressing issues such as economic recovery and sustainable development.
Thailand is the host of APEC 2022 with the theme "Open, Connect, Balance." The logo for this year’s APEC is a three-coloured “chalom”, a woven bamboo basket, embodying traditions and lifestyles of Thai communities. Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 29th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as visit Thailand from November 17 to 19.
