BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Madeleine Egle of Austria won the women's race ahead of Germany's Julia Taubitz at the first luge World Cup of the 2021/22 season on Sunday.
Egle took the gold with a two-run time of 1 minute, 58.822 seconds on the track which will be used for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
Taubitz made a mistake in her second run which cost her the win, instead finishing second 0.106s behind Egle.
Fellow Austrian Lisa Schulte took bronze with a time of 1:59.350.
