HARBIN, China, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- The International University Alliance of Winter Sports was officially launched on Thursday in Harbin, the capital city of northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province.
The alliance comprises 22 founding members, including the Russian University of Sport, Korea National Sport University and Beijing Sport University. It aims to integrate global high-quality ice and snow sports resources and build a high-level international cooperation platform.

Jiang Yuhong, President of Harbin Sport University, stated that the alliance will focus on talent cultivation, scientific research, faculty development, and resource sharing. It will systematically carry out academic exchanges and standard-setting while actively building a platform for shared faculty resources, joint curriculum development, collaborative talent training, and cultural exchange.
Liu Jin, Vice President of the International University Sports Federation, emphasized that the establishment of the alliance will advance the development of international ice and snow sports education, promote the deepening of Winter Olympic education concepts and practical innovation, and provide support for the sustainable development of ice and snow sports.
